In order to see the entire internal and external geometries of your workpiece we use computed and/or metro tomography for analysis purposes. In this way our specialists in the Competence Center at GAUDLITZ can precisely localize the smallest deviations and component flaws or defects.
That includes the evaluation of porosity and wall thickness analyses as well as flaw and assembly checks and also the checking of characteristics which could not – or barely - be measured using conventional measurement procedures. Even soft materials such as rubber parts or elastomers can be precisely analysed by the use of computer tomography. A further advantage is the non-destructive determination and measurement of the part to be inspected, a part whose drilling levels, cavities or fluidity can be recorded.
In this context please keep the
GAUDLITZ 24 hour Express-Service in mind for urgent cases (see box on the right)
The advantages of industrial computed metrology:
- The component is completely scanned and reconstructed. Thus a data record is available for a variety of examinations.
- The 3D CT dataset may be archived for years and can be regenerated afterwards without any difficulty and may be used for further tests.
- The complete measurements, as well as assembly checks, flaw analysis, material inspection, porosity and damage analysis all take place in a non-destructive fashion.
- Depending on thickness and wall strength, the examination of diverse materials is possible.
